Are these examples of a new guerrilla culture?
by Liza Sabater

George "Little Cesar" Bush, in the ultimate display of megalomania, Pokes Some Fun During Media Dinner with a callous bit about "his" hunt for Weapons of Mass Destruction. How can one not after this Public Display of Callouseness not believe Richard Clarke's accusations in Against All Enemies : Inside the White House's War on Terror--What Really Happened? It's just one more reason to applaud the ultimate Washington insider's hell-bent campaign to burn down his master's house.

Add to Clarke's attack on the Bushites this report from tomflocco.com - DOJ Asked FBI Translator To Change Pre 9-11 where Sibel Edmond's a tanslator for the Justice Department tells us : "My translations of the pre 9-11 intercepts included [terrorist] money laundering, detailed and date specific information enough to alert the American people, and other issues dating back to 1999 which I won't go into right now."

On a different front, but not without significance, Banned Music is open for b'ness:

BannedMusic is a project of Downhill Battle and grew out of the incredible Grey Tuesday protest that happened on February 24, 2004. The project has two goals: first, to make it impossible for the five major record labels to use legal threats to stifle music, as they have done so many times in the past. When the major labels try to stomp out a piece of music, we will make it publicly available and draw attention to it.

Second is to advocate for common-sense reforms to copyright law that can make sampling legal and practical for artists, and benefiting both the musicians who created source material and sample-based musicians who are using it to create new works. For an informed and vibrant discussion to exist on these topics, sample-based music needs to be readily available. To determine whether current copyright law is serving musicians and fans, the public needs to be able to hear the kind of work that's currently being suppressed.

Lawrence Lessig's new book == Free Culture == is not only out but also available FOR FREE. If you have problems downloading it at their site, just grab it from mine here.

And on the God front Dr. Michael Newdow is earning rave reviews for his arguments against the use the "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Read also the Excerpts From Arguments on the Meaning of "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance or Download them here.

Was it a bad week for the Empire?
