Condoleezza Rice, a Sally Hemmings for the 21st Century
by Liza Sabater

15 Nov 2004 : I have an updte to this post at Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell are proof Race is a side-show on the road to Empire.

------------------------------------------

OOOH! Have I been looking for a reason to write about this!

The Left Coaster: Got Something To Tell Us, Condi?

Donna's Place: Condi's fantasies

Condoleeza Rice's Embarrassing Mistake

rice.jpgPolitical Conversation: Condi's Slip
A pressing issue of dinner-party etiquette is vexing Washington, according to a story now making the D.C. rounds: How should you react when your guest, in this case national-security adviser Condoleezza Rice, makes a poignant faux pas? At a recent dinner party hosted by New York Times D.C. bureau chief Philip Taubman and his wife, Times reporter Felicity Barringer, and attended by Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Maureen Dowd, Steven Weisman, and Elisabeth Bumiller, Rice was reportedly overheard saying, "As I was telling my husb... and then stopping herself abruptly, before saying, "I was telling President Bush" Jaws dropped, but a guest says the slip by the unmarried politician, who spends weekends with the president and his wife, seemed more psychologically telling than incriminating. Nobody thinks Bush and Rice are actually an item. A National Security Council spokesman laughed and said, "No comment."

Condolezza Rice and George Bush are a more than a political partnership; they are a couple --and a good looking couple at that. Yes, I have said it. The President's wife is the most powerful negresse in the Unites States because, well, she is boinking the president. Not that she is not an intelligent woman who could not easily serve other presidents. She obviously has the credentials, expertise and know-how. Still, you have to wonder how can a woman, and a black woman at that, can get so far up in the ranks of one of the most despicably imperialist, racist and misogynist administrations since the Teddy Roosevelt years.

"But, but, what about Colin?", most people would say. Yeah, well, not for nothing did Harry Belafonte call Colin Powell a HOUSE SLAVE. In this incredibly lucid article, San Francisco Times' writer Bill Maxwell writes:

Black history is filled with characters, real and fictional, who served the "house of the master" for personal gain and power. In modern times, such service is condemned when the master is seen as the enemy of black people's principles and aspirations.

The Bush administration, as represented by the tactics of Attorney General John Ashcroft, for example, scares many non-Republican blacks. And blacks working for the administration are seen as "house niggers" who are aiding and abetting bad policies. They help give the impression that the administration is racially diverse and that blacks support these bad policies.

"What Colin Powell serves is to give the illusion that the Bush Cabinet is a diverse Cabinet, made up of people of color," Belafonte said. "In fact, none of that is true."

To Belafonte, Powell is not a person of color. He is a house slave who has been ordered to get with the program or go back to the field. In other words, Powell has burnt cork on his face. He has been bamboozled.

This is the best explanation so far as to the delusion the current administration has created with its two house negroes. After all, if Colin has the light skin to make you forget his negritude, Condolezza has the education and social "cachet" that makes her whiter than most white people.

How can I say these horrible things? I am the product of house niggers and free blacks --and being a light skinned, highly education black Puerto Rican woman, I know how the game of "passing" is played. To the chagrin of my white mother, I have called myself la negra since time immemorial. My maternal grandmother would say, "Don't say you're black. You are not black, you are trigueña." She wanted me call myself a brunette --quite an understatement even with the lightness of my skin and the occasional "beat with a blower 'til it's dead" straightness of my hair. Brunette, I am not.

f-condoleezza_bush.jpgWhat is most interesting about the Bush and Rice affair is that very few people want to talk about it. Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice carry their race as a kevlar vest against attacks from both ends of the racial spectrum. Whites pat themselves on the back for having a great example of 'integration' in the White House. Heck, to the delight of many white Republicans, they can boast that Clinton, in his 8 years of presidency, could not equal at all this kind of "racial harmony". Then there are the many blacks who'd rather look the other way and claim that any powerful black person is better than none at all.

What is important to remember in this discussion is that both Powell and Rice are part of the generation of blacks that grew up with "NO COLOREDS" signs on most public places in this country. My father was completely traumatized by the experience of coming to this country, from Puerto Rico, as a celebrated former Olympic medalist and folk nationalist hero and basically be treated like a dog. "NO PETS ALLOWED" right underneath the "NO COLOREDS ALLOWED", as my father would say. That they have compromised their politics for personal gain and power is a small price to pay, if the reward is a place on the "NO COLOREDS" counter.

That's why it is absolutely refreshing to hear Harry Belafonte go after Powell. It is almost expected from younger blacks to front the attacks. For many whites Belafonte the calypso singer / actor of his age but for many of us blacks who either lived or were born of the Civil Rights Movement, Belafonte was one of the activists, front and center. He is an elder in the CRM village, lashing out at the sell outs.

That said, he just attacked Powell on his politics. Nach about Condoleezza. Too hot a topic after all. For him, but not for David Letterman : Top Ten Questions You're Afraid To Ask Condoleezza Rice.

1. "What kind of job will you and Bush be looking for in January 2005?"

Gotta love the guy.

As to the black young'uns, the one I most like for his penchant for going for the jugular is Aaron McGruder. The man is my hero.

boondocks.jpg

Aaron McGruder is probably the only high-profile black man to attack Condoleezza Rice, to the point of calling her a a mass murderer to her face and then running an unbelievably funny and biting story arc in his daily cartoon, about the need to find her a man and hopefully save the world from her lust for destruction (you can read the whole arc in A Right to Be Hostile: The Boondocks Treasury.

Then there is also this hilarious editorial cartoon from the The Black Commentator .

I find it hard to believe that the Bush/Rice relationship is not an affair. This is not new in negro América. This hemisphere, founded on the enslavement of mostly Amerindian and African peoples (there were white slaves, but that's topic of another post), has many people (like me) who come from the kind of relationship that we are witnessing in the White House.

A bit of personal history here.

riceoval.jpg My father's father was born a free slave. Interestingly enough, he had an education, had actually been a baseball player and was able to move to the US to work as an ironworker. This was not common for anybody born a free slave. On the contrary, utter poverty was assured because, the incentive for abolishing slavery in Puerto Rico (which was the last country in all America to abolish it, by the way) was purely economic. The upkeep of slaves was proving to be too costly at a time when Spain was pulling out of the Americas and was drastically cutting subsidies to plantation owners. So the strategy was to not acquire any more slaves and basically hire the newly freed labor as indentured servants ---in effect, indentured servitude was a wildly popular way of keeping generations of Spanish laborers bound to the plantations and haciendas. In Puerto Rico, you were sometimes better off being a slave than a laborer. At least food, housing, health care and basic education were mandated by law for all slaves. Not so for indentured servants.

Anyway, oral family history had it that my grandfather's side of the family had had property at one time but lost it when the Americans took over the island in 1898. I always took this with a grain of salt due to my father's notorious grand-standing. But my great-aunt, Tia Carmelita, remembered the old house and once in a while reminisced about the old times. Still, she never spoke of how her mother had a house or of who her father was. I still to this day do not know his name. [To Do: Archival Work of family History]

Enter my friend Jose Alvarez Perdido.

I went to high school with his brother and he had invited me a party at his house. Actually, he did not invite me, he coerced me into going to this party. I remember being guilt-tripped into going. Well, once I get there, he not so much introduces me but kind of throws me against this woman who was, well, totally wasted and making a fool of herself. I get him one of my WTF looks and he and his brothers start laughing and saying, "C'mon, don't be shy, introduce yourself to C. She really wants to know you." Since they knew I was not a lesbian, I was trying to figure out what the hell this was all about. So I said, "OK, Hi, my name is Liza". Now, C. was trying to be proper in that hyper-polite way that righteous drunks are, nags me about my not telling her my "nombre cristiano". To shrug her off I said a "MynameisLizaSabaterbye". And that's when the party came to a standstill and C. snapped into full sobriety.

You see, her name was C.R. SABATER. The detail here was that she was a tall, blonde woman with greenish-blue eyes and a markedly Spanish profile. And she was not from the Sabaters of Mayaguez (who were siblings of my great-grand father) but she was indeed, my 2 cousin. She was a great-grand daughter of the same Sabater as I.

Now, I knew that my side of family were the slaves of the hacienda. The story in my family went that the Sabaters sold-off the hacienda and returned to Spain (Canarias) never to return. That may have been true for the hacendado and his wife. But as CR Sabater started to relate the story of her family, we had one of those intense eye-opening experiences that come once in a lifetime. She also grew up knowing very little about the "other" side of the family. It was true that they had had slaves in her family, but they were made to believe that none carried their last name. Or, as she liked to put it, "the official story was that my great grand-father was a devoted husband and upright citizen of his community". In the same breath she added, "THAT SAID, my grand father had stories upon stories of his father's adventures in womanizing." It was due to his womanizing that several of his children remained in the island --they were not part of the official family. Still, what took my breath away was the one story she says her father would tell over and over again about how his father had fallen so madly in love with a "negra casera" (a slave housekeeper) in his youth that it almost brought him ruin.

story.bush.rice.jpg As CR Sabater told me, Carmen (my great-grandmother) was part of the staff in the house and Sabater fell madly in love with her. She was supposedly a wonder to look at; an African goddess (I have no photos of her but there are of both my grandfather and great aunt in their youth. They were incredibly good looking people). Carmen also knew how to read and write and supposedly was a wit; sharp with the tongue and a truly inquisitive mind. Sabater could not live without her and at one point even thought of her as not just his wife, but his soul mate. But it seems the family slapped him out of the romance by threatening him with banishment and ruin. Money won and the family decided to set up his negra on the outskirts of town, close enough for Sabater to have his love affair but far enough from the hacienda to avert scandal.

Years went by, the gringos won the war and economic and political upheaval for the pro-Spain hacendados was upon them. Sabater was pro-Spain and for that reason left the island. Carmen never saw him again --nor her house. The title to the property was under her lover's name and the Americans with their Jim Crowe culture, made sure to seize properties from negroes and squash any black owned businesses they deemed a threat to their rule. On my father's mother's side of the family they had always been free-blacks and they suffered severe blows to their iron works, carpentry and carriage travel businesses. Poverty came to these two highly skilled and educated black families and that's how my grandmother Ana Europa Mejil (who was an almost white black woman), ended up marrying my grand father, Nestor Sabater. They were, after all, thrown into the same social class ;)

So there you have it. I come from the illicit love affair of a powerful rancher and an educated negro "goddess".

What has changed in 100 years?

Not much it seems.

I don't believe the story about Condi's slip of the tongue; she's way too smart not to finesse it. The story 'making the rounds' inside the beltline sounds like just another projection of the cultural believe that single women are PATHETIC. The Boondocks cartoon (which I usually love) is another riff on the sexist shit that all a (strong/uppity/assertive)woman needs is a good fuck to straighten her out. This attack doesn't seem all that different from the way the right went after Hillary Clinton--another incredibly smart, savvy, tough woman who refuses to stay in the box our culture wants her in. There is plenty to despise about the Bush/Rice/Cheney administration; personal attacks aren't necessary and muddy the debate.

what a great post. Makes me want to look up my family history. I feel sad for Condy ( as the Prez calls her)she does not need this sort of attention it can ruin her life. It would be nice if she converted to Islam and started to wear a Hijab on her head. Boondocks is the best I hope the right wing does not pull the plug on them. They should make a movie about the Boondocks.

Well done! One minor thing: there's an editing error in the 2nd line of the 2nd paragraph after the Bill Maxwell quote: "...and being a light skinned, highly education black Puerto Rican woman..." I think that should read, "...and being a light-skinned, highly educated, black Puerto Rican woman...."

A minor point, as I said, but a bit ironic to have an error in that sentence.

I feel sorry for that "puerto rican woman" writing crap about Condi Rice.
Condi Rice represents all minorities in this nation. She is the visible proof that things in the US and in the world are changing for good.
Black slavery was an horrible thing, but now it is thing of the past. We need to look at the bright future, and that future is a black woman.

Comment by: Michael Mallette at July 22, 2004 10:09 AM

Yep, Colin and Condi are "house niggas". But extremely powerful and influential ones. First we have to get niggas in the house. Once in the house we start changing the way white folk view us (A Black woman with a PHD, fluent in Russian, and an accomplished classical pianist! Who could have imagined we were even cabable of such things!) After enough of us are in the house we begin changing the house rules. We start letting others in, be it through the front, side, or back door.

Condi and Colin are powerful role models. Each has necessarily compromised their Blackness to some degree. But they are breaking ground the same way the shuf'lin, tap-dancin', jive-talkin minstrils did years ago. We need them there.

What i find funny is the fact that rice and powell can be part of a party whose ideology kept minorties and woman from their rights 50 years ago. It is not as if this type of mentality of "good nigger", "bad nigger" has all of a sudden disappered from the conservatist thought process. Look at how Al Sharpton is percieved. He is called a trouble maker for being one of the few intelligent blacks who dont grab thier ankles when problems come and is proud of being liberal. speaks his mind and is vilianized for it. i am tired of republicans shoving these uncle tom, carlton banks blacks as a credit to minorities. but once they break thier ground, maybe a real black person can be in the white house

Comment by: Franklin Smith at November 2, 2004 08:32 AM

Hey, what a great way to get more black people into positions of power - let's vilify them as sellouts the moment they get any success! Calling them house niggers and Uncle Toms will really help the black cause! If only we could have more has-beens and nobodies sniping from the sidelines the moment a black person achieves success, that would do so much more to help end racism and inequality! The KKK must really hate this display of black unity and solidarity!

That must be a really knarley wire bush he was eating.

You are a fascist.

I thought I was the only person to make the correlation between Hemings and Rice. Truth told, I'm less inclined to believe there's anything actually hanky panky taking place. Intimacy takes on forms beyond the sexual, but that's definately how I would classify the relationship- intimate. Someone else put it in a more visual form, ala Star Wars, I have no idea the original source but I saved the image: http://www.geocities.com/sosweet2bnear/GulfWars_1.jpg

I agree with you about Condoleeza 'Bush'. The way she looked at him today when he announced she would be getting a job she's going to fail at(Secretary of State), was like looking at a private, intimate moment between two lovers. I think she's being MOVED, because Laura Bush is tired of being humiliated like a Kennedy wife. I'm sure she's also tired of looking at this woman, every weekend! My God, why doesn't she get a boyfriend or something? At least one for cover, so that people will have doubts that she's after the man? And the way he kissed her cheek....he practically licked it!

Comment by: Dave at November 16, 2004 08:13 PM

Today I watched the live press conference of Bush endorsing Condi for Sec. of State. She leaned toward him straight on to kiss him on the lips, and he dodged her to the side and pecked her on the cheek. It seemed awkward and unscripted. First of all I wasn't sure if it was professional for them to kiss at all? That is why I googled "rice affair with bush" and ended up here. Clearly I'm not the only one that sees the twinkle in his eye. Condi is intelligent, but in way over her head, and this kind of "relationship" is not going to serve the interest of _our_ country for the next four years.

24

Comment by: Salli at November 17, 2004 07:01 AM

I saw that press conference and what I noted was that when the POTUA kissed the proposed Secretary of State on the cheek, her eyes were closed! Remember seeing couples dancing--those with eyes closed, those with open eyes --no problem figuring out the platonic relationship from the items. But maybe it was only the bright lights of the cameras that must have been in Ms. Rice's eyes to cause them to close, except it seemed the lights were from a different angle. I hoped what I thought I saw I did not see or that it was "just me" thinking I'd seen an intimate moment. And then the POTUA stated in a gentle, soft voice after her speech, "good job". Good grief, did that really happen?? I'd read about the party gaffe and the workout sessions and the sports show watching (in mainstream media)-- but when I saw that press conference my jaw dropped.

I agree with the guy on this forum who said, Republicans always say successful blacks are a credit to their race when they are Republicans, they never say that blacks are great role models their race when they are Democrats, like Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, Jesse Jackson, and many others, these are just as great role models as Rice and Powell are, for the black community.

26

Comment by: Hinda at November 20, 2004 12:36 AM

Perhaps Ms Rice made a gaff. Should we nail her to the cross for it? So what if she and Mr. Powell are seem in a negative light by those who call them house n-----? Why do the name callers have to call names at all? Give it a rest! If she is having an affair with the president, so what? Perhaps she is using him to get what she wants. Being Secty of state is the Bomb! I am glad for her. Don't forget that all of so called "black America" is also of European extraction. Like it or not, it is still true. I once read that Hitler hated the Jewish people so much because he was often mistaken for one as a youth. I know that Louisiana's blacks passing for white demonstrated a greater hatred for blacks than those people who did not realize the possibility that they had black blood.

Whether Powell and Price does anything for the race or not does not matter to me. We have enough bad whites (check out Cheney) in power. So what is wrong with a few bad, if indeed they are, blacks in power? Power to them. I am an older black woman who wants to see blacks moving up, getting the best jobs, the best pay, no matter what. Until I can impact the upward mobility of non-positive whites, I do not wish to have the upward mobility of non-positive blacks impeded. I don't have to admire them.

If they were Democrats, the Repubs and the media would be crucifying them right now, if they thought they were having an inappropriate relationship.

Also people who know rice says she does not not want the job, so why is bush pushing it on her? If this is true.

Also rice is a self hater, she once said in a speech that the Civil Rights movement was unnecessary, that is so egregious, especially coming from a balck person.

I wrote this explanation at another forum :

------------

When I wrote that post I was not just only speculating about these people's relationship (which by the way, has been "platonized" at Slate.com with the monicker of 'work marriage'). What I was looking at was what would make a black woman or man 'sell out'. What could be a version of 'Stockholm syndrome' for black people.

Then there is the little detail that many black people do not want to acknowledge their ancestors could have been house slaves. Everybody wants to have a Kunta Kinte for a great-great-grandfather.

Last but not least, and this is what blew me away from one of Jeremy's posts, it's the issue of 'reparations'. Not just monetary but social. Puerto Rico was the last country in the Americas to abolish slavery. This was in the late 1800's --I want to say 1896. The US invaded the island in 1898. My maternal grandmother and my paternal grandaunt remembered growing up with family members and neighbors who still had the branding iron markings of their masters. My maternal great-grandmother died at 104. My maternal great-aunt at 90. My father's father was born a free slave --my father died at 78. That makes me a 3rd generation free slave --and I am barely 40.

So whatever people like Powell and Rice do reverberates with people like me. Yes, I'd love not to look at the color of their skin and just judge them by the content of their character. But my father was a Negro pushed away from the white-only counter when his white-looking black momma was not. These are the stories I was raised with. And I am here sitting in front of a computer, typing a message on a BBS about slavery, Jim Crow and my black heritage.

Rice and Powell are a thorn in my heart. Believe me, it hurts. That they aid and abet this government --I take that personally.

What has changed in 100 years? A lot, but the prevalence of stupid and reactionary people within all human races is still pretty high..

If this article represent 'liberal' American thoughts, then I dread thinking about what 'iliberal' American opinions would be...

31

Comment by: Alan Kang at November 23, 2004 01:09 AM

In the history books, George W. Bush's administration will go down as the one that promoted minorities to the highest positions ever attained in American government.

Yet, why does this not make liberals happy? Why are they accused of being sell outs? Maybe because these individuals believe that people should be based on their merit, not their skin color. Ironically, this is the same viewpoint that was championed by the heroes of the civil rights movement.

So when has it become unfashionable to believe that your race is irrelevant in the performance of your job function? I find this site personally extremely distasteful. Ms. Rice and Mr. Powell are both individuals of incredible distinction whether they were white, black, yellow, or green.

I fervently hope that you and your ilk hold fast to your beliefs. Your culture of hate will ensure that the Democratic (sic) party continues to wander in the wilderness for years to come...

I am not fond of Bush or Condi, but she is a successful woman and to trash her and insinuate that "sex" between her and her boss got her the job is very mean spirited. That is what has always been said when a woman gets to the top! She is smart and does her job....and whatever else she does is her business.

I am a registered Democrat and an African-American. I would never vote for George W. Bush but I am proud that Colin Powell and Condi Rice have served in his administration and have risen to the positions of Secreatary of State and National Security Advisor. No African-Americans have ever served in those exalted positions before so I say good for both of them and their appointments are two of the only things I appreciate about George W. Bush!
I bet that both Condi and Collin are singing "sticks and stones may break my bones..." to those who are reduced to calling them names like children on the schoolyard; even elderly children like Harry Belefonte.

This has got to be the sickest hate mongering I've ever seen. Racism comes in many forms and the author of this article has revealed him or herself to be one of the worst racists and sexists I've ever heard.

Just because Condi doesn't agree with you politically, you call her vile racist names and insinuate terribly mean things about her when she is obviously far more educated (notice that it has and 'ed' at the end) and more intelligent than you.

You are the problem with the united states and as long as you promote your own brand of racism, racism will continue to be a problem for us all.

You disgust me.

A tiresomely predictable take because of its narrow partisanship.

A lot of people on the left assumed that Condi got the job on her back because she is single and Republican. That makes her the Enemy, and gives writers on the Left an excuse to write tiresome Bushie Bangs Condi stories. Were she single and Democrat, and working for a President Al Gore, you wouldn't have posted this ridiculously speculative piece of billingsgate. Nope, you'd be praising her to the skies as the first black female Secretary of State, though it would seem odd to you that she was still single and spent a lot of time with Al and Tipper at the Tennessee estate.

Please don't deny this. That would be like pissing on my back and saying it's raining. You're just going through this Sally Hemmings tapdance for ideological reasons; an entire bullshit superstructure to rationalize your own partisanship.

Then there's the individual who indicated that Rice was being moved out because Laura was tired of being treated like a Kennedy wife. Interesting take, that, but wrong. One would think that Laura would despise Rice if that were true. But it appears she doesn't. There was a pic from last July, from the Ranch, that shows Laura whispering something into Condi's ear. The two women are engaged in a conversation between two friends. I will tell you this much about Laura Bush: she is much stronger than Hillary Clinton-had George boinked Condi, Laura would have exposed the two in public, changed the locks to the White House, and gone back to her mother in Midland. She would not have hesitated to destroy Bush. Take a look at a photograph of Laura Bush and Condi Rice next time you google. Especially Laura. Would any one of you want to be that man that screwed with either one of those women?

There is a genuinely intimate affection between Bush and Rice, but it's more like brother and sister than lovers. Bush genuinely loves his wife; it's hard for liberals to understand that.

It is your partisanship and your ideological hate that prevents you from acknowledging that Bush is not cheating on his wife, has not bedded down Rice, nor has he given her the SecState's Job because she can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch (which, God knows, she might just be able to, but that's her business...). Disagree with Bush if you must. Join MoveOn. Scream "Bush Is Hitler" (well, okay, maybe not ....) all you want. But please, don't peddle some cock and bull story as if it's fact while trying to come off as if you're the new Che promoting The Motorcycle Diaries: Part Deux!.

people you all are so misinformed.
lets go back into our history books did anybody know that thomas jeffersons himself had african blood in both his mother and father.
a man by the name of alessandro de medici. The bastard son of pope
clements the seventh and he also last named de medici. Three members
of the de medici family served as popes of the catholic church in
a hundred and fifty year period.i dont know much about the father
of thomas jefferson only that when madison was running for president
against jefferson he told that thomas jeffersons father was an african
and his mother (Jane Randolph) whose family was from scotland and
cousins of the king of england as a king james I of Scotland became
King James the 5th or 6th? of England. Thus the Randolphs of Virginia
came from Europe the african descendants of this bastard son of a pope
clements the seventh born when the pope was just 17 and living with
his widowed mother at the popes brothers home. he got the brothers
chambermaid siomone an african moor pregnant and when his child
alessandro de medici was born he went into the church in his grief.
thomas jeffersons randolph ancestory means he was less than 200 years
back to this bastard son of a pope.
the pope got this bastard married off to one of the three legitimate
daughters of the holy roman emporer. and the bastards eldest son of
two sons became the king of the dutch people (netherlands) when they
had won their 30 year war with catholic spain. the emporer set this
grandson of his up as king of the netherlands. at least five of this
bastards descendants married into the royal family of england. today
thru interbreeding with ones cuzins there is not one royal family
anywhere in england that doesnt have the dna of this one half african
bastard son of pope clements his wife the princess margarita
the dau. of the holy roman empoerer. just two months ago the queen
of england made a putlic acknowledgement of african in her background
when she made the annoucement that old great aunt charlotte that had
been a member of the last royal family of portugal had had african
ancestory thru this bastard son of pope clements. but she neglected
to admit that this great aunt charlotte by marriage to her own first
cousin lord mountbatten whose family had come from germany (prussia)
of the austrian hungarian empire had also been a descendant of
alessandro de medici the bastard son of pope clements. queen isabella
of spain was also a great granddaughter of alessandro de medici also.
he was killed by a first cousin and 12 years later a younger first
cousin that hed raised in his own home when he obtained his majority
had this other first cousin that had killed this one half african
bastard son of pope clements killed in retribution for the killing
of his own first cousin. whats more he then took this half africans
children and raised them in his own home but while hed done this he
also took those cousins place on the throne not to bad a thing to do
i guess in that these one quarter african de medici's couldnt defend
themselves or their title. two of this one half african son of the
popes great granddaughters married two french kings. another
josephine married the great napeloen.today the descendants of thomas
jefferson and their bolling kin refuse to admit the thruth in that
when they came to this country sent as agents of the king of england
sent as customs officials and sent as his judges etc.their skin
damm sure after only a hundred years wasnt lily white im sure and yet
through the rewriting of history by the current descendants in
the white house today and the destructions of records when they are found
and the rewriting of history their african ancestry is being written out.
for an instance i found on a library of congress website on george
washington containing his records and paper documents they had posted
one of four pages which survived of his diary dated 1754-1760. on a
page entry of this bible one of the four pages still readable dated
in 1757 in which the first american president had a neice sarah
called sallie washington the dau. of his half elder brother lawrence
washington. i might add at the same time id found this 1757 diary
entry of president washington in 1757 posted as an image file on
the lib of congress website maintained in conjuction with the documents
located at the lib of virginia. it noted the marriage of this
sallie washington to a robert bolling born in 1730. the records of
va. tells us that this robert bolling born in 1730 lived at dinwiddie
county and contrary to the thruth as proven by this two line entry
on one of fourpages still readable of his diary dated 1757. in which
he had noted the marriage of sarah sallie washington to robert bolling
born in 1730. this proved to me that they merged two men as one
another robert bolling born 1720 not 1730 is the real robert bolling
III. the thing they were trying to hide is the fact that this half
neice of president washington was one eighth african. her mother
annie fairfax the dau. of col.william byrd and his first wife
sarah walker the dau. of capt thomas walker of lunenburg co va.
they had all come down from salem mass. the walkers the cross the
sparrows etc. all mixed race and all of them having african in their
blood. Annie Fairfax the mother of sallie washington was one quarter
african her mother the first wife of two of col william fairfax
the nephew of sir thomas fairfax. whom by the way contrary to the bull
were being told never came to virginia ever. he was one of the most
richest men in the british empire and of royal descent and he never
stepped foot in the northernneck of virginia he sent rather his nephew
col. william fairfax whom took as his first wife the one half african
dau. sarah walker to be his wife. today folks these cousins of the
bolling family that married a granddaughter of pocahontas named
jane rolfe. to hide this african blood in these bolling cousins today
they claim they are the bollings descendants of pocahontas and of
those that married into the thomas jefferson family. however its not
true. the last name of the second wife of the robert bolling that
married jane rolfe wasnt a lady by the name of annie stith. there
son col. robert bolling jr. also wasnt a half brother of the john
bolling and his wife mary cary he was a first cousins son.
two different men came to va. one robert bolling that married jane
rolfe and his nephew that came in 1667. to hide the fact they married
mixed race peoples such as the jefferson family they claim descent
of pocahontas granddaughter jane rolfe and or they have made out
a so called second wife to have been last named annie stith.
the uncle of annie stiths husband is the real robert bolling a
lt. not a col. it being col. robert bolyen that came in 1667.
he a nephew of the real lt. robert bolling that came in 1660. Today
ive found out almost every us president this country has ever had
but one and that mans wife was also of this same family even as he
was himself a catholic. need i continue. these distant cousins of myself
claim my legacy of being from pocahontas. when i found the scanned
image written in the handwriting of the president washington and
part of his 1757 diary. it proved that the robert bolling born 1720
that had married twice to two ladies last named tabbs and bannister.
couldnt possilby have been the same man that had married this sarah
sallie washington neice of president george washington. it presents
quite a dimlima because on the website of the mt. vernon association
they documented that the only dau. of lawrence washington had died
as a young babe and claimed her name was annie no doubt named after
her mother or they had altered the only child of lawrence washington
and his one quarter african wife annie fairfax. because the reason
given for george washington to inheriet mt. vernon from his brothers
estate was their only child had died and under the terms of the will
the one quarter african wife was to hold a lifetime estate to mt.
vernon and her husbands interest in the 500,000 acre land grant
given to her husband and a full brother named john augustine washington.
in 1772 in washington co pa george washington and three nephews are
being taxed for 5000 acres of untilled lands in washington co. pa.
in 1776 three bolling brothers enlist in capt swearingens infantry
company of washington co pa. odd isnt it. because if this annie
washington was one eighth african and under the laws of va. an african
couldnt sue a white uncle in courts of virginia. how did george washington
get the estate of his brothers children. im told by some that there
was four children if one annie did die and there is a letter exchanged
between george washington and a mr. morris on the subject.
how did george washington come by the estate of his brother if this
robert bolling born 1730 married sarah called sallie wasington. when
i sent the url of the website of the lib of congress to the chairman
of the bolling family association and i also sent the url to the
bolling forum at genealogy.com within 24 hours the website of the library
of congress on the papers of george washington had removed this url
id found and my computer was attacked from that point on until finally
they had succeeded in removing the copy id made showing proof that
the real robert bolling was born in 1720 and hes my ancestor and
hes the man that married tabbs whom died in 1752 and then he remarried
in 1758 to ms. bannister.the robert bolling born 1730 on the other hand wasnt even a nephew he was however a very distant cousin. George
washington himself was a descendant of an aunt of queen annie boleyn.
through his mother mary ball. these bolyens he came from lived in
wiltshire co england. and they were cousins to the bollings of yorkshire.
today to rid themselves of their african legacy they became the
descendants of these bollings of yorkshire vice claiming their real
ancestory of the bolyens of wiltshire. the reason is because they
too had this african blood of the bastard son of a pope clements.
queen anne bolyen and her elder sister mary bolyen both had children
from king henry the 8th. mary having had an affair prior to the marriage
of king henry to her sister. the col. robert boleyn that came to
virginia in 1667 is not the man that married jane rolfe. nor was
the last name of stith the last name of the second wife of the real
robert bolling that came in 1660. stith thus was the only wife of the
nephew. you see three brothers came to nj and later va. the facts
tell me that these imposters claiming to be the pocahontas bollings
is a falsehood. much as they also deny their hemming cousins.
why is a slave betsy hemmings buried next to the grave of thomas
jeffersons son in law and nephew john wayles epps or eppes etc.
in buckingham co va. the thruth is these bollings of buckingham co
va. are the descendants of sarah called sallie washington and her
husband robert bolling born 1730. that man could have never thus
married one year later in 1758 to ms. bannister whom had a child
also named robert in 1758. he had a full brother also named john
and its this john that they claim is a red bolling whom married
mary jefferson. when in fact that man wasnt even a member of the
same family that married jane rolfe the granddaughter of pocahontas.
another thing when they claim this 1757 marriage never happened and
claim that the robert bolling born 1730 married first tabbs and
then bannister and then in 1792 they even produced a diary entry
on the lib of va. website claiming a diary entry which they havent
showed in the president handwriting as the did when they posted
this image of the presidents diary in 1757. my own distant cousin
judge zelma wells price the first female judge in missisppi said
in her book the real robert bolling III was born in 1720 i maintain
she was very correct that this man col. robert bolyen jr. of
bristol parish was only a nephew of the real robert bolling that
came in 1660. his nephew came in 1667 his father named edward
bullen/bolyen he settled with a john eppes in hopewell west jersey
now new jersey.
a brother in law of lawrence washington was a col. george william
fairfax the best friend and first employer of president george washington.
one of this mans sons became the place of his great uncle on death
when sir thomas fairfax died his great nephew the one eighth
son of col. george william fairfax became the lord. this sir thomas
fairfax sent for his nephew to come to england so he could judge for
himself did he appear to be a white man or did he in fact show his
african descent. he being one quarter african. when the lord died.
this one quarter africans son became the next lord in england.
today this mans descendants im sure still have a title in england.
another brother in law of lawrence washington is john carlyle
this man with his first wife sarah fairfax had ten children yet today
its claimed that only two of those ten children lived. i dont think
so i think its a lie that only two of the mans daughters of ten
children lived. now his second wife named jane west. they claim
he had many children with her and that only 1 of those children lived.
yet i found one account which states that john carlyle is the ancestor
of over 300 politicians in america. and need i remind one that the
current presidents own father is a member of the board of the
carlyle corporation. ive also in my studies of my family ancestry
found out that the bush family and their rice family is definetly
related to each other. now this brings up your subject and so ive
got to ask is it possible that ms. rice is a cousin of the negro
president george bush. they have hidden their african. today sir.
ive accounted to about forty grave sites of the bollings descendants
of pocahontas us the real ones that has had their ancestors graves
either dug up or had roads put through or damms built which just
so happend to have gravesyards of the real bolling descendants
of pocahontas in the. its my belief now that its these bollings
cusins most of them in govt. and serving on commissions which approve
these destructions of their cousins graves. just so they can hide
their own african race. i might add bush only has an iq its said of 92,
while my own is much higher at 127.were making a private cemetery
for my family it will be held in trust by my family. and nobody will
touch it. its so far out in the woods and 17 miles from the nearest
town it should suffix to keep these cousins of ours from obtaining
our bones. when they can make a record dissappear and then attack
my computer for over a year id go two weeks of study log on and it
would be gone. so i bought two thousand floppies and i retain a
two year data base but they destroyed the website copy of the
1757 presidents entry in which he noted this 1730 robert
bolling married his half neice sarah called sallie washington
the dau. of annie fairfax the one quarter african sister in law
of the presdident oddly she had one more sister that married
the predsidents first cousin warner washington. i know for a fact
but lack the sources to prove it yet that the john bolling that
married mary washington want a pocahontas descendant he was from
this robert bolyen that came in 1667 a grandson of annie stith.

Whether it is real or not, the most significant item is that she made an incredible slip, calling Bush her husband. There's got to be something in that. It brings me to mind, older stereotypes of single women of years ago, married to the job, the work spouse to a powerful man...Psychologically, it says a lot. Rather scary, the way she has dedicated her life to serving the family.

While I think it is a shame that Condi Rice does not seem to be supportive of affirmative action, social programs, and other efforts to address racial discrimination, I don't think accusing her of being a "house nigger" is entirely fair. Does it appear that she is subscribing to "the master"'s ideas for personal gain? Yes, but that would imply that she can not think for herself, or that the only reason she would buy into the Republican dogma is for reasons of appeasement and not because she has done any real thinking on her own (I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that anyone who has a Ph.D. is not entirely stupid). As disappointing as it is to see a prominent non- white- het- rich- male politician furthering the Republican agenda, the implication that Condi is sleeping her way to the top (whether literally or metaphorically) is an insult to her specifically and to women in general.

I am a black male and I think it is sad that we talk pro black, attend all the Martin Luther King ceremonies and still fail to live out his dream. His dream was that blacks and whites would walk hand in hand, not separate. We point fingers ate each other, call each other names. It is sad. Colin Pwell and Condoleeza Rice are icons in our community and many of us are tearing them down, for what? I have listen to certain Democrats (I don't belong to a party) tear Condoleeza Rice down and attack her credibility. And I don't think there is any one in the world who is more qualified than Condoleeza Rice to be Secretary of State. We need to wake up as black people and start facing the truth. I start looking at people cautiously, who talk pro black all the time, because the same type of people assasinated Malcolm X. We need to support each other, especially when one is about to make history. And for those talking about Coln Powell and Condoleeza Rice and then talking about pro black, stay away from me, you are a cancer to my race.

Condi has been proven a lier on several occasions. Most recently Barbara Boxer exposed her for the fraud she is. Why anyone would want there daughter to be like that is beyond me.
She said that the tragic death of 255,000 people hit by a tsunami was, "a great opportunity". This is a sick woman who has lost her soul in more ways than one.

My friend, do not confuse proserity with morality, or success with dignity and character. My wish is that your daughter and all of our sons and daughters grow up to be decent people first regardless of the path in life they choose to take.

This is liberal racism and sexism at its best. Look at Bush's entire cabinet and it would be fair to say it is the most diverse administration in history. Look at Kerry's administration (umm...i mean failed campaign) and what you get is exactly the opposite. And I wont talk about Clinton and his womenizing. The fact is when people see competent, ambitious, and sucessfull blacks (and other minorities) they cant handle it. Especially coming from the republican side. This blog is evidence of that. Even if it is coming from the left! I find this blog to be very racist, sexist, and offensive. Read Condi's bio and you will she she worked her ass off all her life and earned every bit of where she is today. The context of your blog completely falls apart when you look at the HUGE role minorities have played in this administration. As a black democrat I commend Bush for that even if I dont agree with all there policies.

Beautifully written. I will teach my daughter that to get what you want in this world takes hard work. She must also know that she is to stick to her principles and values my husband and I teach her, and NEVER compromise who she is. Be proud to be an African-American. Celebrate everything in her past, and that will shape a young woman with HER OWN VOICE, and INTEGRITY; something that Dr. Rice is lacking.

The Strange Death of the Woman Who Filed a Rape Lawsuit Against Bush

By: Jackson Thoreau - 11/22/03

Early one Saturday afternoon in July 2003, I made a simple phone call to Margie Schoedinger, a Texas woman who filed a rape lawsuit against George W. Bush in December 2002. I expected to leave a message on a machine, so I was caught a little offguard when Schoedinger answered.

She, too, sounded somewhat surprised I had called, saying she hadn’t heard from many other reporters. But she talked to me for a few minutes about the legal action.

"I am still trying to prosecute [the lawsuit]," said Schoedinger, a 38-year-old African-American woman who lived in the Houston suburb of Missouri City. "I want to get this matter settled and go on with my life."

Well, Schoedinger hasn't gone on with her life. In fact, three months after I spoke to her, she died in an apparent suicide. And this matter remains unsettled.

When I asked her in July 2003 about the lack of media coverage, Schoedinger said she wasn't seeking publicity. She said she did not even know about a December 2002 article in the Fort Bend Star, the only U.S. mainstream media outlet that covered this story, to my knowledge. The Fort Bend reporter, LeaAnne Klentzman, said she even went to Schoedinger's home and talked to a man there, who said she could not come to door. While I reached and spoke to Schoedinger on my first attempt, maybe she wasn't ready to talk back in December.

Anyways, Schoedinger said she was surprised the case wasn't covered more because "it is true......People have to be accountable for what they do, and that's why I'm pursuing it."

To be sure, Schoedinger's accusations - which include being drugged and sexually assaulted numerous times by Bush and other men purporting to be FBI agents - are bizarre and hard for most people to believe. But her story fits in with those told by a growing number of people who say they were used as guinea pigs or whatever by members of the CIA or another U.S. agency who wanted to test out the latest mind-controlling drug or just have a strange form of release. And her death - let's just say government agents have made murders look like suicides before.

In her court petition, Schoedinger said police in Sugar Land, another Houston suburb where she said some assailants linked to Bush attempted to unsuccessfully abduct her from her car shortly before the 2000 election, refused to take a report or do anything about that incident. She filed a lawsuit against the Sugar Land department and said that in preparing its defense, Sugar Land police found out that she dated Bush as a minor. I didn't get a chance to ask Schoedinger about that tie and didn't meet her in person, but her driver's license listed her as being 5-foot-8 and weighing 125 pounds, for what that's worth.

The Fort Bend Star story quoted a Sugar Land police captain saying his department had no record of any complaints by Schoedinger. All he had to do was what I did - go to the Fort Bend County Internet site and do a simple search on Schoedinger's name in the area of civil court records. I found the lawsuit Schoedinger filed in December 2000 against Sugar Land police, and it even had numerous responses by the department's attorneys in that case.

Just wait. This story gets stranger.

When I started asking Schoedinger about certain details of the case, such as alleged surveillance at her home and if she was still legally representing herself, she politely ended our conversation. "I need to see what has been written," Schoedinger said. "I feel like it's best for me to end our conversation."

Obviously, she had learned to be careful about what she said and to whom she said it. I could understand her being leery about talking about her situation with a stranger over the phone.

But I remember being puzzled by Schoedinger’s attitude after hanging up the phone. I wondered that if she had made up such a wild story, why she didn't come up with something a little less outlandish, in which people couldn't necessarily dismiss her as a kook. I wondered why she didn't seek publicity to at least provide some form of protection. I've long learned that being as public as possible is one of your best defenses against rogue intelligence agents. But she didn't even seem to want any media to cover her story. I told several writers I knew, some of whom tried to contact Schoedinger. None succeeded, as far as I know.

I remember thinking, "I hope she doesn't wind up on the wrong side of a gun." And sure enough, in late September, Schoedinger did.

The Houston Chronicle wrote a bare-bones obituary that stated only that Schoedinger "expired" on Sept. 22, 2003, and her burial was at Houston Memorial Gardens.

I called the Harris County Medical Examiner's office, and a clerk told me the cause of death: a "suicide" by a "gunshot wound to the head." I hung up amid bombs going off in my mind.

For one, using a gun to commit suicide is predominantly executed by males, according to psychiatrists and other sources like pharmaceutical firm Merck & Co. Women are more likely to overdose on drugs, although the number of gunshot suicides among women has increased in recent years.

Besides Pravda and Internet ezines - one of whom referred to Schoedinger as "deranged" - I haven't seen stories on this strange death of a woman who filed a rape lawsuit against the U.S. president and wound up dead nine months later. I can't say I'm surprised. Or even angry. I don't know what the hell to think. All I know is I was one of the last - if not the last - reporters to speak to Schoedinger, and she didn't sound "deranged" to me in July 2003. She sounded like someone who had gone through something weird and was trying to sort it out. She sounded like someone who wanted the truth to come out. And now she's dead.

If this had happened to Clinton when he was in the White House, do you think the story would have been covered non-stop on FOX, CNN and the right-wing talk shows? Do you think we'd have reporters asking Clinton and his people about this death in press conferences? Is FOX unfair and imbalanced to the point of being "deranged?"

There are some more odd twists to this case. I also found a 2002 criminal case related to Schoedinger in which Christopher Schoedinger, her husband, allegedly struck her. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to a year in jail. Christopher Schoedinger had also filed for divorce. Then since 1997, Margie Schoedinger had filed for at least five assumed business names for various ventures - including a communications firm, health and beauty business, travel agency and publishing company. Could a "deranged" person start all those businesses or even know how to file a lawsuit?

Schoedinger's lawsuit can still be viewed on the Fort Bend County site at http://ccweb.co.fort-bend.tx.us/localization/menu.asp - then go down to the bottom and click on civil court. Then type "schoedinger" in the plaintiff box and click search. You should find another lawsuit she filed against Sugar Land police, as well.

I can really understand media members being intimidated, even frightened, of the Bush administration. As I've detailed before, these are not Boy Scouts running the show. The Schoedinger death is just the latest in a string of strange ones surrounding the Bush family - Bush biographer and contributing writer for Liberal Slant J.H. Hatfield, Sen. Paul Wellstone, Sen. Mel Carnahan, and others that are detailed on various sites, including at http://members.boardhost.com/gwbush/msg/362.html

For the record, I contacted Bush's media office about Schoedinger and have yet to hear back. Now that I live in the Washington, D.C., area, I can go down to the White House in person and try to get someone to speak to me about this case. As expected, I haven't had much luck with the Fort Bend County and other Texas authorities. So maybe I'll stand outside the White House, holding a sign saying, "Who killed Margie Schoedinger?" and passing out copies of my column on the case. It would make about as much sense as anything else in this matter.

For all I know, maybe Schoedinger did kill herself. Maybe she dreamed up a lot of this stuff. But I don't know, am I "deranged" to think it's weird that in this mass-media, detailed-information age, so few people are even asking any questions about how a woman who filed a rape lawsuit against the president could be dead less than a year later?

Condi Rice is a fierce woman, but she's not cut from the cloth of Harriet Tubman or Angelea Davis. She, like many right wing blacks are extremely confused. The only thing these folks understand is the space that they occupy, if any. They understand thier roles as black republicans under seige by the neo-conservatives. Tokens.

This activist is cut from some fine cloth. I've heard her speak and she's still an activist, an inspiration to the young ones who know that there's no future for us unless we can take back our government from big money. See picture on this website and hear her speak on archived shows. She's phenomenal. http://www.schillerinstitute.org/biographys/bio_amelia_new.html
Amelia Robinson was born in 1911 in Georgia, in a family of 10 children. Her father was a building contractor. She traces her history on both sides back to a mixture of African slaves, Cherokee Indians, and German and other European nobility.
The account of the life of this remarkable woman is given in the“Bridge Across Jordan,” published by the Schiller Institute in July1991. “Bridge Across Jordan” is the account of Mrs. Robinson's life-long struggle for civil rights and human rights for citizens of all colors.Amelia Boynton Robinson is perhaps best known as the woman at the front of the march who was gassed, beaten, and left for dead on Edmund Pettus Bridge, during the “Bloody Sunday” march on March 7, 1965 to Montgomery, Alabama, which quickly led to the mushrooming of the civil rights movement into an international mass movement.

But Amelia Robinson's efforts for justice and civil rights began long before 1965. From the1930s, she and her husband, S.W. Boynton, fought for voting rights and property ownership for African-Americansin the poorest rural areas of Alabama, where she worked as Home Demonstration Agent for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and he as County Agent. Bill Boynton gave his life for this cause, dying young of a heart attack induced by the years of hard labor and harassment his work brought on.

During the 1960s, Mrs. Robinson's home and office became thecenter of Selma's civil rights battles, used by Dr. King and his lieutenants, by Congressmen and attorneys from around the nation, to plan the demonstrations that would lead eventually to the Voting Rights Act of 1965. In 1964, she was the first female African-American ever to seek a seat in Congress from Alabama, and the first woman, white or black, to run on the Democratic ticket in the state.

Amelia Robinson today is a leading member and Vice Chairman of the Schiller Institute, founded by Lyndon LaRouche and Helga Zepp-LaRouche in 1984. Mrs. Robinson considers the Institute to be“following in the footsteps of Martin Luther King.”

In April-May of 1990, Mrs. Robinson spent five weeks touring East and West Germany for the Schiller Institute, where she addressed thousands of German citizens about the Lessons of the Martin Luther King movement for Germany today.

On July 21, 1990, Mrs. Robinson was awarded the Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Medal, honoring her lifelong commitment to humanrights and civil rights.

Today, in her 90s, Mrs. Robinson is a vibrant leader, touring the nation and speaking for the Schiller Institute on behalf of the principles of civil rights and human rights whose cause she has championed for more than five decades.

The absolutely most incendiary piece of self-loathing, racist garbage I have heard. A noticably white man appoints an intelligent, beautiful black woman to a serious cabinet post and here you crabs go pulling her back into the bucket. Isn't it obvious she does not (neither do I) define herself by what the black racists think? She chooses not have a boyfriend because most black men think as you do. And, she does not have the time to be a teacher; she's already had that job too at STANFORD. Furthermore, if it were not for the stereotype about the endowments of black men, most black males would have absolutely nothing to offer a woman. Does the bad credit and instability turn you on? You better read up on your Toni Morrison. The fact is that you and others harbor hatred for Rice, Powell, and Thomas because you do not have the creative vision or fortitude to set and accomplish goals. That is, unless your goal was to write inflammatory garbage using the anonymity of the Internet. THANK GOD FOR THE DIGITAL DIVIDE! IN YOUR CASE, I WISH IT WERE LARGER! I'll leave you with some Curtis Mayfield, "EDUCATED FOOLS FROM UNEDUCATED SCHOOLS"...

This comment is directed to MJ. How can you say that Black Slaves would have nothing to offer a woman besides sex? How do you know what African men were doing for labor, family and heritage when they were taken as slaves? African men and women created hundreds , even thousands of tribes. Africa is where all civilization began. As far as Clarence Thomas, hes a bum and will always be so. How can you be a product of Affirmative Action and then want to abolish it? After hes up there with Whitey , now he wants to forget where he came from and how it was all started. It disgusts me, and Im sorry Powell, Rice and Thomas are not a voice for me or my family!

I enjoyed reading about your family history. However, in reference to your judgment of Condi and Colin no one knows the motives of men's hearts, only God and the man himself.

Condi Rice is most definitely engaging in coitus with that brain dead, coke snorting poor excuse for a president and together they are fucking the people of America.
The comment about African-American Men not having anything to offer a woman was obviously written by a Aunt Jemima , self-hater who makes a fool of herself chasing white boys who treat her like shit after they get a little taste of choclate.

C'mon baby, don't be shy
