Let's start the "Coffins Meme"
by Liza Sabater
I have never been a fan of the man; especially after the "stained dress" incident; but the information blackouts alledged in the Drudge Report's DEAD AT DOVER PHOTOS HIT INTERNET; CONTROVERSY OVER SHOWING IRAQ CASUALTIES INTENSIFIES and The Washington Post's Curtains Ordered for Media Coverage of Returning Coffins need to be spread all over the web.
My brother served during the Persian Gulf War. He also went to Bosnia. It is mind boggling how the Pentagon truly looks at the men and women who serve them as merely cannon fodder. Many soldiers have to pay out of their own pockets for the body armor, first aid kits, even food they use to go into combat. This does not free soldiers of their responsibility for the choices they have made. Still, with
Senator Chuck Hagel saying the US may need compulsory service to boost Iraq force; military service may not come from personal choices but from imposed drafting.
So if you have a blog or a site, please, publish a photo, any photo of soldier's coffins returning home. And make sure you link back to the source.
UPDATE!
I changed the title from CASKET MEME to COFFINS MEME. It just sounds better.
