On ego, politics and human nature

I believe that a Libetarian society (one in which everyone was free to do what they wanted as long as it didn't indirectly or directly harm anyone) is as much of a pipe dream as is a true communist society. A communist society would never work because people are by nature greedy. A libetarian society would never work because people are by nature egotistical.
Egotistical? Yes. What makes you believe that your political beliefs are wrong and someone else's are wrong? What makes you think that your God is the one true God? What makes you think that you favorite team can beat anyone? What makes you think that your kid is the smartest kid ever. YOUR EGO. And in this society where ego is so closely intertwined with one's self-value and world view, questioning someone's egotistical view most times will be seen as the equivalent of pissing in thier beds. In other words, "It's on bitch!"
