Working for Google for free

Trabajando gratis para Google Many have commented about the intelligent publicity campaign of GMail that are the alleged invitations to its beta access; similar to what they did at the time with Orkut. Comments have been made about the 'elitist-geek effect'. It also has been talked about the function invitations have in regulating the velocity of the service's growth. Including its use as an anti-spam tool. And even of the future plans Google has for GMail.
What nobody has talked about up until now (at least that I know of) is how we, the internet community, is doing Google's dirty work of distribution and marketing and, on top of that, for free.
