Blogfucking instead of blogging the convention
by Liza Sabater
After yesterday's exhausting blogging of the 2004 DNC Convention broadcast, I did here in NYC what all my blogging comrades are doing in Boston : I went and had a drink. Actually, a couple. Can you guess who was there?
Hey, Wonkette, wondering where your hot steamy husband was tonight? That's right people! For lack of shmoozing with the wonkster herself, I was doing it with her husband Chris Lehmann. In mid-schmoozing I asked Mr. Wonkette what was he doing here instead of being in Boston and he replied, like any other alpha-male : I have a job.
Ouch!
Good to see he's contributing to America's productivity.
The following babble of bloggers that congregated at Park Bar on Union Square have obviously created great excuses for avoiding theirs; by not discussing the current convention, debating the best alcohol to drink on a hot steamy night, and by exchanging fantastic insights on the Red Sox and Ben Affleck factor :
Ms. Lusty Lady herself, Rachel (the woman don't miss no events, no siree Bob)
Lyndsay of Lyndsayism (ACK! She remembers my name because she LIKES IT!)
Ms. Nichelle "I don't miss no partays" of Nichelle Newsletter
La Ellen of Standard Deviance
Curly grrrrl, Alizinha of Brazilian Muse and now of Gothamist Food
Ms. Party in my panties GirlyNYC of Hottpants and Gothamist Food (where does she find the time!)
Lockhart Steele of one of my secret pleasures, Curbed (and a man with a name that I am still not sure if it is the best WASP or PORNO name evah)
"I'm too sexy for my drink" Alex of The Minor Fall, The Major Lift M
Felix Salmon of his it's my own fucking name blog
Red Sox-maniac and Lemonblogger, Conrad
Foodie extraordinaire and lobster lady Laren of Gothamist Food and Sweet Blog o' Mine
Suited and tied yet "always a punk at heart" John of Manhattan Transfer
And a gaggle of others who, well, had no blogs; therefore I cannot remember (or at least Google) their names.
Heh. Sorry 'bout that.

Say it loud, say it proud!
Hold the press..."Hey, Wonkette, wondering where your hot steamy husband was tonight? That's right people!
