Shake your politic maker : Guerilla Dance Update

Barlow has asked me to be a "pod" leader (doesn't that word make you feel a bit X-fileish), and bring some Latina sass. I will be reporting for duty on Sunday.
REALITY CHECK TO ALL : Sunday is the march and as of this morning, it will end at Union Sq, which is on 14th Street & Park Avenue. We're expecting a quarter of a million people in this area (I live just a few blocks away). Expect traffic, mass transport and even pedestrian mobility to be extremely limited (especially if the NYPD and National Guard are deployed with impunity).
I live on 14th & First Avenue and past experiences have showed me that to make it from East to West, I may have to go all the way downtown to Soho or even Chinatown to cross over to the West side and then come back up. And may I even recommend packing water & food; unless you want to lose your shirt with a $3 bottle of water (take it from a native).
If mayhem ensues and streets are blocked and you need a Manhattan contact, please email me so you can get my cell phone number. I'm not as comfortable plastering my cell phone number all over the blogosphere as Barlow.
BarlowFriendz: Guerrilla Dancing Update
I am going to try to convene a meeting of all who might want to participate around 8 on the evening of August 29 and a loft on 13th between 9th Avenue and Washington. I don't know the exact address right now, nor have we settled on a time. These will be immediately forthcoming.In addition, I want to have several meetings, between now and then, of people who are interested in helping with the organizational details. If you would like to be one of these, and live close enough to Manhattan to make a couple of meetings, please either e-mail me or call me on 917/863-2037.
