Kerry Lost the Election. What's next?
by Liza Sabater
One of my neighbors here in NYC has a banner on his window that reads : We Secede. Interestingly enough, that not my feeling exactly. At least not yet.
What's in store for me now? I have to take my kids to their soccer meet with homeschoolers. I had my "Count Every Vote" shirt ready to wear. Now I'll have to leave it hanging.
So what is really next? Regroup, strategize, organize. Four years of attack on culture and creativity are coming. We need to build stronger social networks, stronger reality based networks, if we are going to survive four years of extreme-right policies.
We need to organize.
Unite.
Get stronger, on the ground and online.
To protect our rights.
To protect our liberties.
To protect hope.
This is my life-long work. My mandate.
What's yours?

The following blogs make reference to this post :
Say it loud, say it proud!
Funny you should mention secession.
(FWIW, I'm about there. Americans just said, pretty clearly, that they're OK with Abu Ghraib. They're OK with queerbaiting. They're OK with Halliburton and Enron and with drilling out the ANWR. I'm sorry, but I have a big fat middle finger for all that. It's beyond the pale.)

Please check out the Progressive Bloggers Alliance - it's time we organize and start reaching out.
