Open Letter to Elizabeth Edwards
by Liza Sabater

Dear Ms. Edwards, elizabeth_edwards.jpg

I'm sure you don't remember me, what with the thousands of people you've met on the campaign trail during the last two years. I had the pleasant surprise and honor to meet you and your daughter Cate at a Barnes & Noble store here in New York City and right after the Vice-Presidential debate.

In the five minutes we spoke, we talked about your love of blogs and how it's been hard work juggling so much and still taking care of the kids. You thanked me for my blogging and support. I thanked you for your leadership and fact checking of Cheney.

Ms. Edwards, you are one classy woman. I fell in love with your courage, conviction, enthusiasm, and humility right then and there. You are the kind of woman we need as inspiration to many of us women of a certain age, married and with children. We need more of you Elizabeth, but while we wait for them to show up, we need you more than ever.

From one blogging mom to another, I hope you have a speedy recovery. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Be well,
liza sabater
