Before I lay myself to sleep
by Liza Sabater
There's a million things I have to do here in the blogosphere, but I'm exhausted tonight. Instead of my usual 3:30 am bedtime, I'm hitting the hay a little past midnight.
For y'all who've asked me about the culturekitchen network project, I'll clue you in later in the day Thursday. If you want to head over to culturekitchen.net, please do so and try to register. It's just the bare bones of the system, so I have no idea if you'll have any luch registering or not. Either way, just leave me a comment here.
There are several projects going on at the same time, two spear-headed by Rebecca MacKinnon. One is called Bloggercorps, which is an effort to match bloggers with grass-roots organizations that would like to have a blog presence but don't know necessarily how to go about it. The other one is similar to what I will be implementing at culturekitchen.net : With a little help from my friends, I hope to put together an RSS salon of progressive blogs from the whole spectrum of politics --from left to right to center to independent. This is going to be quite the little project because in the new system, we'll be able to quote them, re-blog them, and even post them to del.icio.us.
I can't wait to play with all the goodies we'll have --and what I have described is not even half of what we'll have available.
So stay tuned.
