Today is the last day to speak out against photos banned on the subway
by Liza Sabater
I hate it when I get these alerts at the last minute!
From: Straphangers NetworkDate: Tue Jan 04, 2005 07:16:51 PM US/Eastern To: rabel-nyc@earthlink.net Subject: MTA Photo Ban - Last Chance to Comment! Dear rider-
The deadline to submit comments to the MTA on its proposal to ban
photographs, film and video in the subway and bus system is Monday,
January 10th!We strongly urge you to express your views by commenting at:
http://www.mta.info/nyct/rules/proposed.htm . The option for sending
an e-mail to the MTA can be found at the bottom of the MTA's
description of its proposals. Don't be discouraged by the MTA's
confusing e-mail form. The Straphangers Campaign respects the need for increased security in
the transit system, but believe there are important values in having
photographers document life and conditions on the subways and buses.
