MediaBistro in need of some inspiration?
by Liza Sabater

New York City media whores are all atwiter over Mediabistro's entry into the blogosphere. Snarky has been taken to a whole 'nother level this past few days.

Just a quick observation : Check out the curious homage the designers of Mediabistro have made to this here site.

I'm sorry, but how many blogs and/or sites have culturekitchen's color pattern? I think the people at MB need to get in touch with their unlocked creativity. How about if they start here :

Considering every bit of clothing this season comes in those exact colors, I'll take the wild guess that they're just guilty of being unbearably trendy.

And you're guilty of being ahead of the curve ;)

Funny you mention fashion. Back in the summer of 1996, these colors were really popular in the pret-a-porter collections in Paris. I know this because I was living there and these were the colors that basically enveloped every single store-front.

I like the colors because they represent the colors of the Caribbean Ochun, an Aphrodite-like goddess that has her roots in Yoruba tradition. She was named my "guardian" goddess.

Less exotically, they're the colors that have always pepped me up. I wanted a color pattern that was energetic without being overwhelming. And this has been basically a color pattern that's followed me for eons :)
