OMFG! I'm pre-ordering the new Harry Potter book now!
by Liza Sabater
Amazon.com: Books: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6)
The author has already said that the Half-Blood Prince is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And most importantly, the opening chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been brewing in J.K. Rowling's mind for 13 years.
Is this Half-Prince a new character or an old one? I thought immediately of Neville, but I think he is actually a pure-blood. My money is on Hagrid. He is half-giant, half-human --and he was Harry's "saviour" from the get go. He has always been a prominent character in the series.
I am one of those way over thirty-olders who are obsessed with these stories. The books get better and better and I have to say, as a former literature professor and an avowed Joseph Campbell / Roland Barthes groupie, the way she has modernized mythopoesis is just simply brilliant.
