Is there hope for a true blue New York?
by Liza Sabater

I hope so. I like Eliot Spitzer. A lot. I think he has the bravado and the smarts needed to govern this godforsaken state.

New York City - Politics

The Siena College Research Institute poll had Spitzer leading Pataki, 53 percent to 30 percent, up from a 51 percent-to-35 percent lead for the attorney general in a Siena poll last month.

Asked if they would vote to re-elect Pataki, just 24 percent of voters surveyed said they would, while 60 percent said they would prefer someone else. Just 37 percent of voters had a favorable opinion of Pataki while 50 percent had an unfavorable opinion.
