I don't know you, but I am happy for them

Celebrity Baby Blog Photos: Heidi Klum

Outside of my not so oblique salivatory references to the thinking woman's sexy beast, I really don't write about celebrities. I'm taking the exception with Heidi Klum and Seal.

I've seen their pictures online and in print for months now and they really, truly, bring a smile to my face. They have that "we're just two happy assholes" look on their faces. You know, the kind of happiness people crazy in love just can't hide.

For me though, what tickles me to the core is the --and you know I'm gonna go there-- blatantly obvious fact it's a "black" man and a "white" woman. Even to this day (and I am the daughter of a couple of the same kind) it is not common for me to see a black man walking hand in hand with a white woman or sporting a chocolate-colored baby in his arm --and I live in New York City! You will more likely find colored women of all kinds with males of the fairer kind. Very seldom it is true the other way.

So here's to Heidi Klum and Seal. May those beautiful smiles grace their faces for years to come; for you are a living inspiration of how to keep dreams of love, happiness and fulfillment alive.
