I AM AN ADWHORE : First of a weekly not-so-gentle reminders to be good to our overlords
by Liza Sabater
I like ads.
They pay the bills. The more ads the blog has, the more time I have to ping you hard with my bits of pundilicious fun. So let's welcome our advertising overlords. Give them some juicy click love. Seriously.
What I love about BloagAds is that I have approval over the process. If I am not quite sure about the ad, it goes. So these are not random ads. As I get to know more and more about my readers --and how y'all share in my interests-- I will strive for the advertising to be as interesting and bootilicious as the authors of this blog.
I have actually perused (albeit lightly) Marcel Hovsepian's blog So go now. Of course, now that we can afford a vacation, I don't even have the time to plan it. So perusing his blog and site is a way to kind of keep reminding me that I have to do this soon --and it does give good writing about the travails of travel. I particularly like the snark in Be Aware of the Time-Share.
I got Neighborhoodies' request for advertising this week and almost peed my pants. I WANT MY NEIGHBORHOODIE! I think they are the coolest concept in T-Shirt and swag. Now, if they pulled a Café Press on me and allowed me shop culturekitchen Neighborhoodies, then that would be awesomely sweet. I'm giving them a call; because, you know what, I'll be whoring the swag as well. I'd rather give the money to a local --as in New York City-- small business than a far-away mega-corp.
Last but not least is the ultra-intriguing new documentary Lipstick & Dynamite : The First Ladies of Wrestling. I have to see this movie now --would my NYC Blog Divas care to join me? It's showing at the Angelika Film Center. By the reviews, it sounds like it's like "Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill Kill" without the deaths but with all the camp and violence. Can't wait to see it.
So there you have it. Go see for yerselves. NOW.
Oh! And if you are one of the thousands of avid RSS readers I have on this blog, make it a habit to visit one or two pages of the site at least once a day. Show this mami your love and come repeatedly. Especially if you are one of the more than few using the full RSS. RSS traffic is cool, but site traffic is even better.
Last but not least, here it is, you moment of GoogleZen :
