The most dangerous show in TV is better, and more accurate, than the real news shows

NPR : NPR, CBS, 'Daily Show' Win Peabody Awards

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart won its second Peabody Award for excellence excellence in its presidential campaign coverage, Indecision 2004.
Whenever I think of The Daily Show, I always think of the picaresque and comedia literature of the late Middle Ages and the Baroque --two periods in European history of extremist theocracies and imperialist frenzy. Which is also why I can never seem to get out of my head the turning point scene in The Name of the Rose(1986) :
William of Baskerville: But what is so alarming about laughter?Jorge de Burgos: Laughter kills fear, and without fear there can be no faith, because without fear of the Devil there is no more need of God.
Keep them laughing Jon, because this country truly could do truly be better out if, collectively, we'd have some cojones for laughing.
