BlogHer Conference, the 4 hour layover edition
by Liza Sabater

First, and foremost, ACK! I am trapped in mormon country!!

I'm on my way home from blogher, writing out my to-do lists, checking email and caffeinating verily.

I didn't think I'd say this but, I can't wait to get home.

Let me just say, right here, right now, that $10.00 for WiFi is too much money. It's not like I am going to be all friggin' day at this airport ... then again, ACK! let me not jinx it.

Also, Delta Airlines is the new santorum. What is it with these airlines? I have a four hour, FOUR HOUR LAYOVER in ... ugh ... George Bush International Airport. Where is the friggin' Bill Clinton airport? Why George Bush?!?! The stench of santorum is just killing me. I'm still puzzled at the thought this is also Dooce country.

BTW, I had no idea Heather was so tall. She's got gams up to her ears. Seriously.

Which takes me to the whole Blogher experience. I cannot wait for next years conference, hopefully in the east coast. Lorraine and Jeff, as blog is my witness, will definitely be there next year.

I had great fun just putting the blogs to the faces. Rox Populi, Coming out Colored, Julie Leung, The Unbillable Hours, Mobile Jones, Flink Design, Apophenia, and scores more . I'm not giving links right now because I'm working on the mother of all blogfucks, the female lust edition. Suffice to say, that no other than Jay Rosen said he was happy to have attended and seen how important this kind of event is --biz, tech and media networking for women, by women. I so agree.

So stay tuned. I have a few podcasts to put up as well.

Kiss, kiss.

Update
Not only have I had to wait close to 4 hours to board, but this flight was overbooked by over 30 people with only 17 seats available. In NYC? There were 18 seats available and a gateful of people with "seat request" boarding passes. HOW CAN AIRLINES GET AWAY WITH THIS SHIT!?! It used to be that one or two seats were overbooked. We're talking about a gateful of people, close to 100, waiting to be seated in a plane with only 18 open seats. WTF!

Is this Bush's culture of unaccountibility?

How could not be excited with so much estrogen power in one place? It was awesome and I hope to see more of these events offline and on.

Don't tell me that Bush Airport stinks of Santorum. It's a nasty smell, and I'll be flying through there this weekend on my way to Vancouver for my aunts' wedding. hopefully there's a decent bar.

I'm so sorry, it sounds like your trip back East was almost as bad as the journey West.

I didn't get to actually *meet* you at BlogHer, but loved all your comments at the sessions, and appreciate all you did to help make it happen. Hope to make it in '06, no matter where it's held!
