The move is on and a WTF moment
by Liza Sabater
There is a ton I have to say about Harriet Miers, John Roberts, Plamegate, Iraq and all. I can't at the moment though because the migration is happening.
This weekend this here site will be moving on to a new server. Lynn Siprelle is my tech goddess. The people at CivicSpace the developers behind the culturekitchen platform.
By the end of the month, we will have left MovableType as our publishing platform and upgraded to a new community site chockfull with activist tools.
BrownBloggers and BlogSheroes will be following suit as well. I don't know you any of you noticed, but BlogSheroes got hacked a few weeks ago. I took it down because I anyway was planning all these migrations at the same time.
I also have almost completed work on LizaSabater.com. I'll be making an announcement about that site soon. And if you are wondering, what is most exciting about these sites is the possibility of having them all networked. That is going to be the next step of development once all this coming and going is done.
I'll post here and there until all this work is completed; but I leave you with this :

Python Bursts After Trying to Eat Gator - Yahoo! News
A 13-foot Burmese python recently burst after it apparently tried to swallow a live, six-foot alligator whole, authorities said. The incident has heightened biologists' fears that the nonnative snakes could threaten a host of other animal species in the Everglades.
"It means nothing in the Everglades is safe from pythons, a top-down predator," said Frank Mazzotti, a University of Florida wildlife professor.Over the years, many pythons have been abandoned in the Everglades by pet owners.
The real illegal immigration in this country and the only one that needs to be stopped is of these exotic reptiles and amphibians. What the fuck is a burmese python doing in the Everglades?
How can people be so environmentally illiterate and ecologically stupid?
