Clay Aiken Gay; Whoopi Goldberg Admits She's Black
i am shocked and devastated by these recent developments regarding Clay Aiken, but apparently even his baby said, "he's gayer than Liberace gliding from glory hole to glory hole on ice skates." and Whoopi Goldberg continues to cause controversy with her proclamations of blackness. stay tuned for more.

In Australia, lesbians are neither gay nor people?
From the department of "Things that make you go hmmmm" comes this doozie :
Gay Aussie hotel wins right to ban heterosexuals, lesbians
The Peel Hotel in Melbourne won an exemption from the Equal Opportunity Act to prevent insults and abuse directed toward gays in its bars and nightclubs, owner Tom McFeely told AFP."The hotel predominantly markets itself towards homosexual males, towards gay men and we want to protect the integrity of the venue as well as continue to make the men feel comfortable," McFeely said.
"When large numbers of heterosexuals or even lesbians are in the hotel that changes the atmosphere and many gay men can feel uncomfortable."
I would love it if this where a joke given the owner's last name is one McFeely and all I think of him being the insensitive evil twin of Grey Anatomy's McDreamy, but no ... 'tis true.
Goes to show women end up being second class citizens even within marginalized communities.

Compassionate Michelle Malkin chooses hard-core porn star and male prostitute over feminist bloggers
Not only that, Matt Sanchez, who also worked as a male prostitute, claims to be "bad at being gay".
Towelroad has the whole story. And, get this, Pat at Towelrod met him 18 years ago --as a gay man.
Could he have gone to the same rehab center as Ted Haggard?
Anyhow, this is the drivel Michelle Malkin posted about the 'situation':
Last night, hate-filled liberals on MSNBC attemped to smear Marine Corporal Matt Sanchez and conservatives who honored him at CPAC for his support of the military at Columbia University. They gleefully showed photos of Cpl. Sanchez at the event--including ones I took--in mockery after his gay porn past was outed by left-wing blogs. They cackled "Semper Fi."
I said the other day I thought CPAC organizers would be justified in being embarrassed if the rumors about Sanchez's porn star past 15 years ago turned out to be true. Well, the rumors are true. But it is neither CPAC nor Cpl. Sanchez who should feel embarrassed.
Wow! Sister is so compassionate. I had no idea given all the digital ink she wasted in calling Amanda Marcotte a nut during her Christian League vs. Edwards Bloggers debacle.

For the gays, Jake Gyllenhaal does Jennifer Hudson!
There is a good reason why more than a half-million people have watched through YouTube Jake Gyllehaal's opening skit for last Saturday's SNL.
It's absolutely brilliant ... and shocking. Who knew Toothy Tile had the singing chops to riff on such a show stopper. He also looks smashing in that dress.
Oh and seeing him in drag sininging like that made think of Tom Jones. I don't know why I think he could play and sing in a Tom Jones biopic. Maybe it's the way he broadways those muscular arms.

Is Ted Haggard Gay?
If he is, I feel sorry for the men that slept with him. Whether he is or isn't, I still think he is a despicable person. If you haven't seen Jesus Camp, by all means, treat yourself to a movie this weekend. Ted makes an extra cocky special appearance in between his weekly meetings with our President to tell us how he is administering to our nation's youth. He left out the part about the glory hole, though.
Hey... "glory hole" does sound kind of soul savin', as in: "Lord have mercy...I'm goin' to be sucked I mean saved at the glory hole!" It would be nice if everyone bought chicken, biscuits, greens, and various Jell-O marshmellow delights to share after they had "repented". It's hard work!
The story is just breaking, so you still have time to put on your Sunday best for the Republican Sermon on the Who Mounted Who.

Trending the blog wars to come at Reuters' latest Newsmaker event

I was invited to attend the Reuters' Newmaker Event : Public figures, Private Lives.
The focus was actually on celebrities, paparazzi and the rise new media upstarts like Perez Hilton, Jossrip or the indy image agency Splash News. You all know who Perez and Jossip are. SplashNews, though, is the little company that could --they were the ones who snagged the rights to the "drunken stepfather" photographs of Mel Gibson; the ones taken minutes before his DWI arrest and anti-semitic ranting.
David has an excellent recap over at Jossip. He tells of how Bonnie Fuller polygraphs sources on some of their scoops. Crazy! Given that she is the biggest purveyor of gossip-as-cracktainment, this bit of news proves Bonnie Fuller is the Donna of the biggest gossip mafia in the world.
That's so hot!
This being Reuters though, the conversation when from gossip to politics thanks to Mark Foley. And of course, it was used as a moment to bitch-slap "the blogs".
Sigh.
A year ago I debated with Paul Holmes, the chief editor of Reuters global news division, about myths rurrounding blogs. A year has passed, much has happened since, and he's totally hit to blogging. But somehow these panels end up into blogsmears and now the shift is from "bloggers are rookies nobody should pay attention to" to "if Democrats/Lamont/candidate-of-your-choice looses, it will show how "the blogs" can't be trusted".
