Your story is the one I've always wanted to read
Thank you for writing it. There is that ultimate argument of "What about the father?" When I hear it, I think of "The Godfather" where there is a line about who has the right to children. And that could meander off into how many wives a rich person can have in order to produce a dynasty, etc.
But we in the USA are dedicated to monogamy, at least to serial monogamy. It is for certain that when two parents are faced with the prospect of a child, they are both heavily involved.
The rapacious actions of the radical right on the issue of abortion are not condoned by many. However, they couch the subject which makes refuting them seem immoral. The moral in this matter, to me, is whether a person has a right to make personal decisions in a personal way. Since I was born when the Comstock law prevailed, I've seen the changes through the decades and realize more than ever that the first question deals with the rights of those who give out information on planned parenthood. Margaret Sanger would turn over in her grave to see how we have tools now, but don't always use them wisely. On the other hand, didn't I read that her son is still writing on the subject?
