You will see that people ARE trying to figure out how to help the shelter become sustainable, by offering grantwriting services and things like that. So the Kos community has taken action, what's wrong with that, and why all these assumptions about people's skin color? And why do you even care, as long as people get involved?

I am worried that your post will distract readers from the situation of the Pretty Bird Woman House - it is in desperate need of $25,000 to stay afloat and being the only shelter on the reservation it would be a tragedy if it had to close.

You can read more about the shelter, what it's trying to do and why it's having trouble with funding this year at the DONATION site. You can also add offer your services or ideas for how it can become self-sustaining in the long term.
