Get ooVoo and get political tonight!

ooVoo.com is a multi-person chat service that has turned the personal and often 1-to-1 idea of video IMing into a social networking event. Anyone with a computer, broadband connection and a web camera, can use ooVoo for real-time video calls with up to six people simultaneously.

So, to kick-off August as the beginning of the end of the US Presidential season (the Democratic Party's convention is at the end of the month, followed by the GOP's convention on the first week of September) ooVoo has convened a convention of their own, My ooVoo Day Political.

My ooVoo Day Political is an eight day online video conferencing event joining leading political bloggers covering the entire spectrum of belief and persuasion with their communities, fans and friends - enabled by ooVoo, the leader in face-to-face multi-person video chat.

I am on tonight from 10pm to midnight and I'll have Baratunde, Shireen Mitchell, Maeagan Ortiz, Nezua, Kety Esquivel and Chris Rabb as my own very personal talking heads.

We're going to be talking about diversity in the blogosphere, the presidential conventions and Bush's exit.

Here's a list of the hosts for this week's political orgy at ooVoo.com :

Words to live by

To the Chinese, freedom is a threat. To the right wingers, criticism of the Catholic Church was a threat. To some folks in Missouri, the fact that I continually bring up issues related to Johnson's shut-ins is a threat. Exactly how do we define a level of 'threat' in this new Gestapo brave new world? Is it in the eye of the beholder?
