On November 18th Matt of MyLeftNutmeg did a fantastic presentation about BRIDGE ISSUES. He relayed how the Minimum Wage initiative in Ohio had a 70% of the state's attention as opposed to the Iraq war. "Bridge Issues" were defined as putting into focus progressive issues in a manner that cut across political lines. This forum is provided as a brainstorming platform for identifying more of these political bridging issues.

Polls have shown that the fastest growing segments of new media adopters (mobile, internet, computers) in the United States are Asian, Latino and African Americans. Liza Sabater has identified these wired minorities as the "Digital Ethnorati" and in this panel we will explore how members of the new majority are changing the rules of political engagement with the net.

These are for bloggers of different categories to come together, meet each other and exchange ideas, tips, rants, you name it.
These sections will become in due time networking sites of their own. At the moment though, pressed for time and resources, I feel this is the biggest baby step we can take to make these happen.

Minority is so 20th century. We are the melanine-enhanced early adopters of the internet. We eat, drink, sleep digital and new media technologies the same way we do our arroz con habichuelas, sweet potato pie, kimchie or curry.

We need a national conference to present to the world the diversity of new media early adopters, evangelizers and activists. We need to show to the world how people of color are living the new media revolution with podcasts, vlocasts, wikis, forums and, of course blogs.
