Liveblogging GObama vs. McCain't

Pancake on McCain's face5 minutes to 9pm.
Watching Soledad O'Brien talking about her group of "undecideds" out in Ohio. I find it hard to believe these people do not know who the vote for. Am sorry but these people are in there for the camera and free dinner. Seriously, if you haven't decided you who you're voting for, you've got some serious problem.

8:57 pm
Ahahahahaha. Maegan just twittered that she's watching C-SPAN and playing, "Spot the Latino". I would have called the game "Spot the Beaner".

9:00 pm
Just found out from Ben Smith's blog,  that even though there was talk about having no follow-up questions, Tom Brokaw hasn't accepted those terms. So the candidates are expecting to have follow-ups.

 9:10 pm
McCain broke the people barrier. He gets in front of the people he's talking to. Obama circulated a bit more. I think it's a bit creepy.

9:32 pm
Somebody needs to do a screencap of the candidates faces. They're make-up was either spackled or sprayed on. McCain's face right now looks a different color compared to his scalp!

9:36 pm
The physical pyschology of John McCain : When McCain starts attacking Obama he goes far away from everybody and stands in the back of the floor.

9:40 pm
Obama just tied Social Security and Medicare to his answer about taxes.

AUGH. I lost interest in this debate. John McCain's make-up was absolutely distracting me along with his inability to look at Obama and his insistence in not mentioning him by name. He even referred to Obama as "that guy". WTF!

Yet I have to say that the best so far was Obama's moment explaining the bailout mess and when he went on about his health care plan. And the fact that he said that health care is not a responsibility but a right.

That ended the debate for me. That was it. He said it. Health care is a human right. McCain doesn't think so. Bravo Obama!

Believe it, sister. I'm

Believe it, sister.

I'm all about Obama. I'm voting for Kucinich too (I reside in his congressional district). Ohio has often electorially shot itself in the foot. Remember, Bush won here. Twice. Well, one and a half times...

Ohio is messed up like that. Ohio has been hemorraging jobs for years (since REAGAN). Educated Ohioans are leaving on the first thing smoking. Ohio has some of the highest in-state tuition rates in the country. Schools are funded primarily by property taxes (a method that the state supreme court had deemed unconstitutional 4 times..yes, 4 times) and it creates a chasm between the have communities and the have not communities, such as Cleveland.

Ohio is a messed up state...not many know how much so. I see it every day. I pray that they have enough sense to elect Senator Obama.

Words to live by

I believe we should focus our efforts first and foremost against those who attacked us on September 11 and who have thus far gotten away with it. the vast majority of those who sponsored, planned and implemented the cold-blooded murder of more than 3000 Americans are still at large, still neither located, nor apprehended, much less punished and neutralized. I do not believe that we should allow ourselves to be distracted from this urgent task simply because it is proving to be more diffucult and lengthy than was predicted. Great nations persevere and then prevail...

I believe that we are perfectly capanle of staying the course in the war against Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network, while simultaneously taking the steps necessary to build an international coalition to join us in taking on Saddam Hussein in a timely fashion. If you're going after Jesse James, you ought to organize your posse first. Especially if you're already in the middle of a gunfight with somebody who's out after you.
