Speaking of erections...

So like, I was watching Lou "I hate dark-skinned immigrants" Dobbs because no matter how much of a jerk he is, when it comes to economics, the guy knows and has people around him who know a thing or two.

Anyway, I noticed there's a lot of ads for Cialis during his show, selling 36 hour erections.

Ok sex and health bloggers, I need you to answer this one : why in the world would a guy want to be for 36 hours in a state of arousal induced by "erectile dysfunction" drugs?

Am baffled at the idea that a guy, an old guy at that, would have a hard-on for 36 hours.

WTF?

And, ewww, at the thought of someone like Lou Dobbs having a 36-hour hard-on. I saw that commercial and now I can't unsee the mental image I had of "Lou Dobbs + 36-hour erection".

Some thoughts can scar you for life and that's definitely one of them.

It doesn't cause an erection

I'm not an expert on this. But from my understanding, an erection normally is caused by the relaxation of smooth muscles in the penis, resulting in increased blood flow. Most erectile dysfunction is caused by high blood pressure or peripheral artery disease or similar bloodflow problems. Viagra and Cialis work by causing the smooth muscles to relax, and then allowing things to work as they are supposed to. It will not "cause" an erection, it just allows an erection to happen if the right stimulation happens.

Viagra has a short span - takes about half an hour to get into the blood and no more than six to eight hours before it is eliminated from the blood. Cialis remains for about 36 hours - so that's the effective time frame.

Any erection that lasts more than about an hour is considered a medical emergency. Known as priapism, it can cause nerve damage and might be the last erection a man ever gets.

Damn funny video! Yeap, if you need a pill then perhaps you shouldn't be trying to use it. I don't try to drive on a flat tire. ^^ oh, btw, Dobbs makes me sick too!

So, I am driving, and thinking of Nick Lachey posing nude for Playgirl. My first thought is DAMN! I am going to have to buy that. But after much deliberation, I decide it isn't a good idea. What if I see his dick and am disappointed? Then what? Then whenever I see him I'll think "your dick is ugly". Nahhh, I guess I won't be buying it. I'd rather like to continue believing that all dicks I haven't seen are beautiful. Maybe I am a little naïve but hey, that means that I think half of my readers are looking good.
