Ann Coulter: Terrorist, and now, plagiarist

You'd think that Little Annie Terrorist's body of work is sufficiently unique that she need not plagiarize the work of others; but you'd be wrong. The republican party mouthpiece is a plagiarist, reports the right-wing New York Post.

July 2, 2006 -- Conservative scribe Ann Coulter cribbed liberally in her latest book, "Godless," according to a plagiarism expert.

John Barrie, the creator of a leading plagiarism-recognition system, claimed he found at least three instances of what he calls "textbook plagiarism" in the leggy blond pundit's "Godless: the Church of Liberalism" after he ran the book's text through the company's digital iThenticate program.

He also says he discovered verbatim lifts in Coulter's weekly column, which is syndicated to more than 100 newspapers, including the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Sun-Sentinel and Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle.

Barrie, CEO of iParadigms, told The Post that one 25-word passage from the "Godless" chapter titled "The Holiest Sacrament: Abortion" appears to have been lifted nearly word for word from Planned Parenthood literature published at least 18 months before Coulter's 281-page book was released.

A separate, 24-word string from the chapter "The Creation Myth" appeared about a year earlier in the San Francisco Chronicle with just one word change - "stacked" was changed to "piled."

Aw, gee whiz, and just when things were going so well for her, what with the national notoriety (and mucho dinero) she gained by saying that the 9/11 widows enjoyed their husbands' deaths. Or all the attention she got for calling for the murder of Congressman Murtha.

Looks like Little Annie Terrorist is going to have to call for a lot more murders to get past this one; which should please the republican party just fine, I'd guess. they like that kind of stuff, judging by her career in their service to date. And if fellow deranged plagiarist Ben Domenech is any indicator, plagiarism per se does not disqualify one from serving the republican party.

Ann Coulter

This woman has always disturbed me. Jon Stewart ripped her apart on the daily show a while back and I loved it. In the magazine "George" she wrote an article about how much she loves guns. If ever there was a person who should not have a gun, it is her. I can usually see another person's point of view, but this a woman who does not even try to do so. It does not surprise me that she copies other's words.

Is Anyone Really that Surprised?

All the dittoheads only have one message! If you ask them to delve deeper or look at the bigger picture, they are mentally incapable of doing so. They also offer no solutions. The fact is Ann loves liberals. She makes quite a decent living off of them, she has someone to fuel her huge amount of bitterness and hate against rather than a spouse, and without liberals, no one would give a rat's ass about her. Sure, she might bash them, say stupid things continually, and call for their murders, but without liberals Ann Coulter would just be another insignificant bitch.

Expose ALL Plagiarists!

I'm a Libertarian and am completely sick and tired of all of the dishonesty that infests modern American culture. If Coulter is indeed proven to be a plagiarist she must be ridiculed and hounded.

However, there is one political "saint" whose rabid copying was uncovered and proven way back 16 years ago, in 1990! This person is no less than the so-called Great Martin Luther King. I think that this 16 year old case needs to be re-examined, as to many others to which insufficient attention has be paid.

Look at the chronology of this particular case:

Coulter & King

King's plagiarism was confined to his PhD thesis, and was not in multiple speeches, articles, books trailing on and on. It's even less innocuous than that of Doris Kearns Godwin (spelling?).

First, accuse, then, drive away cackling

Funny how this story comes out, and all they have are the words of a person whose business would benefit greatly if this turned out to be true...

However, as much as I dislike Ms. Coulter, I absolutely hate the lying left. When are you people going to learn that only by standing by fairness and the ideals of "innocent until proven guilty" are you going to gain mindshare with the general American public.

Because as much as we dislike pundits like her, we absolutely abhor the vitriolic rhetoric coming from your blogs, columns, editorials, articles and newscasts.
