A bad week for John McCain
First the Bush family Pastor slams McCain's character and endorses Obama. So McCain sure needs a pick me up when it comes to the character issue. I think that was what the Palin nomination was SUPPOSED to give him. Now the Palin decision is already backfiring on McCain, simlpy adding to his problems.
Two conservative "pundits" slam McCain's Palin decision:
Meanwhile, seems Palin attends a church that embraces anti-Semitism. Certainly this deserves as much coverage as Bush's pastor endorsing Obama, and McCain's "spiritual guide" (McCain's words)Hagee's anti-Semitism. Seems McCain/Palin has far more pastor problems than Obama.
Then there is the fact that McCain himself slammed Palin for her addiction to pork.
Then there is the whole political baggage Palin brings with her. What is worse than the political baggage she is bringing is the fact that no one seems to have prepared the Republican Party to deal with all this baggage. And, of course, choosing Palin will bring the VECO scandal to national attention, something Alaska Repubs can sure do without.
Then there is the scandal of Palin firing a police chief to please special interets. Wow...what a maverick. Making serious policy decisions based on what pleases special interests.
Palin and the repub convention were supposed to give McCain a boost. But so far the boost seems to be Obama's:

All in all, a very bad week for John McCain.
