Fascism in Italy got its ass kicked in WW II. In fact, unlike German fascism that took the combined efforts of the US, Great Britain and the Soviet Union to defeat, Italian fascists were even fought to a standstill by the Greeks in WW II and had to have their sorry asses saved by the Germans.

But even today there are Italian losers who are so scared of anyone different from themselves that they follow the failed, stupid and loser ideology of Mussolini.

Their latest cause seems to have some resemblance to Bill O'Reilly having his panties in a bunch over an imaginged "war on Christmas." The Italian fascists have their collective panties in a bunch over...Christmas decorations. Yes, Italian fascists are such losers that they are terrified of Christmas decorations! From BBC news:

Right-wing politicians have protested at the inclusion of Islamic symbols in nativity scenes in northern Italy.

Elaborate cribs with figurines enacting the nativity decorate most Catholic churches in Italy at this time of year.

A priest at a Genoa church put a mosque and minaret in his crib, while a crib at a Venice school also had a mosque.

The Genoa branch of the anti-immigrant Northern League reacted with fury. But a senior church figure said there are no firm rules on what can be included.

So Italian fascists want to dictate to priests what they can use as Christmastime. I can just imagine their blotchy faces and the spittle coming from their mouths (or am I thinking of Bill O'Reilly again?) as they rant and rave over...Christmas decorations.

First of all, these priests have every right to include whatever they want in their Christmas displays. And, of course, the fascists have every right to complain if they don't like it, though they do look kind of like fools doing so.

Second, the fascists probably are so stupid they don't even realize that Muslims honor Jesus as a prophet, so it isn't really in any way inappropriate for a priest to recognize this commonality between Islam and Christianity (though I should note that Islam (like Judaism) and Christianity differ over the divinity of Jesus).

Finally, is this REALLY what Loser Fascists consider important??? Well, maybe it is the only thing they can agree on these days. Last time I read about Italian Loser Fascists they were destroying the teeny, tiny fascist coalition (the ITS) in the EU Parliament:

ITS was a rag-tag collection of idiots in the EU Parliament that formed in January, 2007, from barking crazy right wingers primarily from France, Italy, Romania, Belgium and Bulgaria. Among their members is Alessandra Mussolini...yes, the granddaughter of Italy's biggest asshole, Il Duce. I guess having her grandfather shot and hung upside down on meat hook didn't discourage her from following his discredited ideology...

It was Il Ducette herself, Alessandra Mussolini, who caused the downfall of the Fearful Asshole Bloc by publicly saying "breaking the law has become a way of life for Romanians".

The Romanian [Fascists] were shocked...SHOCKED I tells you! They thought breaking the law has become a way of life for Roma! So they left the [ITS] in a huff, bringing the number of members below the minimum for inclusion in the EU Parliament...

"This collection of unsavoury European politicians were united only by hatred - be it of other races, nationalities, sexualities or, ironically, the EU," British Green MEP Jean Lambert was quoted by AFP news agency as saying.

"It was only a matter of time before they succumbed to a hatred of each other as well."

Just goes to show...once a loser, always a loser. And if there is one thing you can be sure of, racist assholes are almost always losers, whether they're Italian, Romanian...or American.

So I, for one, say good for the Italian priests who want to recognize a bit of commonality between Islam and Christianity. And to all blotchy faced, spittle spouting intolerant assholes out there: get a life!
