Surprise!

I have to run out the door, but wanted to give the heads up to our RSS junkies that culturekitchen has a new design --and one that now puts it in line with her sister sites.

New design

It's much more pleasant to look at - thanks for the change.

I like it

Loads faster. The old site was slow enough that it discouraged frequent visits.

Wow!

Thanks, Liza. My computer was down until yesterday. I thought I would never get things cleared out enough to get back. What a nice surprise.
Did you get to the Take Back America meet? I was getting email newsletters but couldn't access the stories.
This is the start of new, great things. I'm sitting here listening to a tribute to Paul Simon and thinking that things are turning around.
In my other second childhood (have one for each new war) I could abide Viet Nam as long as the music was good. We've been too darned serious during the current downtime.
And now I have a cheery layout on my favorite kitchen. Bless you.

Vaya con dios. Margaret

Gorgeous

and so much more inviting.
I can tell you now without offending you, I hope, how much I prefer Thing One and Thing Two framing a fanciful CK dirigible (yes?) to the Angry Red Molotov Avenger, as our front door face.

It's all just gorgeous, can't wait to play . . .

Words to live by

"People say, 'She's so successful' and 'Look at her position as a black woman.' She is a black woman who grew up in Birmingham, Ala., and said that she never experienced a day of racism in her life," Lee tells the April issue of Stuff magazine.

"Condi, stop smoking that crack!"

"I know you love your Ferragamo shoes, but come on. While people were drowning in New Orleans, she was going up and down Madison Ave. buying Ferragamo shoes. Then she went to see 'Spamalot.'"
