Plan B Underground
Last week, I posted my pledge: I would help teenaged girls to buy Plan B contraception OTC, regardless of the FDA's ruling that the drug cannot be dispensed to those under 18 without a prescription.
In another post, I'd like to take some time to discuss why I came to this decision, and to answer some of the criticisms that have come at me. This post, however, is an invitation to brainstorm about how we can "identify" those of us who are willing to get Plan B to those who request our help.
Please feel free to post suggestions for how we can do this.
One idea that I'd like to suggest is some sort of emblem or icon that would identify those of us in the Plan B Underground. It could be attached as a Web button, worn on a teeshirt or pin, affixed as a sticker in a window or on a bumper.
We also need to talk about how to establish a network, so that if I get an e-mail from a teenager across the country, perhaps there would be someone closer that I could contact?
I would also love to hear from women who have had experience with this in the past: namely those who helped their loved ones in the days before Roe, and who know a thing or two about helping their sisters out.
Not to be
too much of a major pain in the ass nabob of negativity but. . .
Has anyone researched the legal consequences of supplying the Plan B drug to minors?
Just so you know what kind of legal help you might want to have standing by?
Nance

I did the same ...
I had posted the same ... saying I would be willing to help any that wanted this. So I'm in.
